Entrepreneur Friendly Communities
Small businesses represent 99.7% of all employers providing approximately 75% of the net new jobs added to the economy. Recent studies confirm that entrepreneurial success takes the support and planning of the entire community to encourage, sustain, and foster new business ventures. Becoming entrepreneurially-friendly means a community is able to identify a collective vision for the community; assess long-term opportunities and threats to that vision; mobilize assets to address those opportunities and threats, and to carry out a successful implementation strategy.
The resources provide here are intended to help you learn more about, and address these issues effectively in your community. For more information contact your local Cooperative Extension Office or Walt Whitmer at wew2@psu.edu
