Opportunities abound for small entrepreneurial businesses. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania offers help in many forms, including assistance with selling local products; local governments sometimes offer tax abatements.

Penn State University, through Cooperative Extension’s Economic and Community Development, presents programs that help entrepreneurs understand how to start a business, how to use the Internet as a business tool and how to create a business plan for the 21st Century. (continued)
